Matthias Church was built between 1255 and 1269, and named later in 1471 as King Matthias (aka. Our Lady Virgin Mary.). It was Buda's main church in the middle ages, then Coronation church of Hungarian kings, since King Matthias of course. At the beginning of the 20th Century it was reconstructed in neo-Gothic form. Also a museum of priceless and historic religious items and crypt of hungarian royalty. . It's located in the 1st district. Take mini-bus number 21 from Moszkva tér or bus number 16 from Deák tér. Next to Halászbástya.
